The deplorable state of the major road leading to the federal high court sitting in Benin city the Edo State capital has now deteriorated to the state in which counsels and litigants coming to the court have to pass through thinning bushy part to gain access to the court premises due to the flood that has over taken the road.

Residents in the federal high court road who suffer the brunt of the bad road appealed to the both the state and federal government to come to their rescue.

The federal high court sitting in Benin city is situated along the Benin Auchi road by Aduwawa, the road leading to the court, which is called the federal high court road, the road is in a deplorable state, counsels, litigants and their family members as well as the residents of the area will have to walk through this thinning part to get to the court premises and their residents, this is also the situation at the entry and exit gate of the federal high court Benin city.

The judge and others who could bear the risk of manoeuvring their way through adjoining roads in the community will still have to pass through the bad spot to drive their cars into the court premises.

Residents here told AIT that the situation of the road has been like this for the past year.

The federal high court shares boundaries with INEC and the court of appeal, Ait gathered that the flood in the area forced the appeal court to relocate from their building to that of the state high court along sapele Road for temporary accomodation, while INEC was also sacked by the flood sometime last year, forcing the commission to rent a building along the Benin sapele Road some.
