The authorities in Etsako East Local Government Area have intensified bush-combing operations across forested communities in an effort to curb insecurity in parts of the locality.

The exercise, led by Council Chairman, Sunny Ekpeson, brought together security operatives and local vigilantes in a push to flush out criminal elements and restore confidence among residents, particularly farmers.

The operation covers Ivioghomhe, Izotha, Edegbe along the railway line, extending to Osholo, Emokwemhe and Upland-Ivioghe, through to Ogiode and Uzannu sharing a boundary with Kogi state.

In the process, the Council Chairman, Sunny Ekpeson, met individuals living in the forest and directs them to vacate the environment

The Chairman reaffirms the commitment of the Senator Monday Okpebholo led administration to strengthening security and the importance of the exercise

He adds that the operation is a proactive move to tackle rural insecurity and reclaim forest areas for community safety.
