Two suspected fake personnel of the Nigeria security and civil defense corps, NSCDC, have been arrested, while extorting money from a tanker driver along Jeddo road in Okpe local government area of Delta state.

The two suspects, Lucky Emofuoreta, aged 22 and Francis Osorochukwu, aged 25, confessed that they have been extorting money from unsuspecting road users particularly truck and tanker drivers plying the Jeddo road for the past two years.

NSCDC state commandant, Akinsanya Iskilu, in a statement said their arrest was successful following intelligence report and complaints by members of the public over their nefarious activities at the illegal checkpoint.

Items recovered during their arrest include, one Honda Odyssey bus, one handcuff, a pair of jungle boots and two jack knives.
