Face of the police officer who killed Omobolanle Raheem in Lagos State

The Lagos State Police Command has revealed the name of the Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP who shot dead a seven-month pregnant legal practitioner, Omobolanle Raheem, on Christmas Day in the Ajah area of the state.

Spokesperson of the Command, Benjamin Hundeyin through his verified Twitter handle named the killer cop as Drambi Vandi on Tuesday morning.

Vandi, who has now been detained, has spent 33 years in the Nigeria Police Force.

The widower had narrated that ASP Vandi pulled the trigger on his late wife unprovoked while they were waiting for their turn to be searched at a checking point on a fateful day.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has condoled the bereaved husband, Gbenga Raheem. The State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin in an exclusive interview with AIT.live, also said that the Command has also scheduled a visit, to the deceased family over the unfortunate incident.

He further confirmed that investigations have commenced in the murder case of the pregnant 41-year-old lawyer, Omobolanle Raheem at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti in Yaba where the suspects are held in detention.
