Falana stated this at the DAAR Communications National Discourse in Abuja as part of activities to mark AIT 25th anniversary.
The Daar National Discourse centered on ethnic nationalities and the emerging challenges: managing Project Nigeria.
In his presentation, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana said a country without regard for ethnic diversity will find it difficult to attain peace.
He accused the political class of making a mess of the struggle for political independence by Nigeria’s founding fathers by weaponizing religion and ethnicity to divide the country.
Falana faulted the Nigerian government’s lopsided appointments; which he said promoted disunity in the country.
Other panelists and speakers called on the Buhari administration to genuinely begin the process that will ensure peace and unity among all ethnic nationalities in the country.
