Police Officers Welfare: 8 families of deceased police officers benefit 18.5 million Naira Family welfare Scheme in Katsina.

8 families of deceased police officers in Katsina, who died in active service, have benefited from the Inspector General of Police’s 3 different welfare schemes, with a total sum of 18.5 million Naira.

The schemes include, the Group Life Assurance Policy and the Inspector General of Police Family Welfare Insurance.

Katsina state Commissioner of Police, Sanusi Buba, who handed the cheques to the benefiting families, on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, urged them to make judicious use of the money

35 year old Aisha Magaji, a second wife to deceased Police Inspector Bala Magaji, has 10 children to cater for, 4 from her and 6 from her senior mate.

She said their husband was killed in action by armed robbers in February, 2020, in Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Magaji added that since then, life has not been easy, but with the gesture from the police, it has encouraged and consoled them that the labour of their husband, and other police officers who died in active service, have not gone in vein.

The Commissioner of Police, Sanusi Buba, said the gesture is to boost the morale of serving officers and men of the Nigerian Police, as well as respect and appreciate the sacrifices made by the fallen officers in the line of duty.
