Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has alleged that Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde is planning to remove the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja.
Fayose claimed the plan involves issuing a query to the monarch this week as a prelude to his removal. He further alleged that recent reports of an impeachment plot against Governor Makinde were orchestrated to divert attention.
Fayose warned Governor Makinde to tread softly and allow wisdom to guide his actions, stressing that the power of government is transient.
Meanwhile, reacting to the claims, the Olubadan’s palace debunked any meeting with the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly over the matter. The palace stated there was no basis for such a meeting but added that the issue would be resolved when Governor Makinde, who is currently out of the state, returns.
