There are strong indications that the strike embarked upon by teachers in public primary and secondary schools may soon be resolved, following the intervention of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike in the industrial dispute.
Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT Wing, Abdullahi Shafa, who briefed journalists after a meeting with the Minister, council chairmen, and senior officials of the FCT Administration, confirmed that the Minister has been fully briefed on their concerns and has promised to take necessary steps to address the issues and bring the strike to an end.
