FCT Police Operatives Storm Kidnappers’ Hideouts, Arrest Four Suspects

POLICE

Operatives of the FCT Police Command attached to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit have arrested six suspected kidnappers in a hotel in Bassa Village in AMAC, around Iddo area of the Federal Capital Territory.

The FCT Police Commissioner, Benneth Igwe, who briefed the Media said the suspects, Buhari Muhammad, a wanted kidnap kingpin; Muhammad Sabiu, Isah Abdullahi, Hamzat Musa, Fatima Abdullahi and Zuliat Yusuf, were arrested in a hotel acting on credible intelligence.

The FCT Police Commissioner explained that the suspected notorious kidnap syndicate were responsible for the abduction of one Joshua Eze, the husband of Blessing Eze who suffered a bullet injury in the process of her husband’s abduction in January 2024, and was subsequently rescued unhurt by Police operatives.

CP Igwe also said that there will be no hiding place for criminals under his watch in the FCT as Police operatives are ready to take the fight to the criminals’ hideouts across the Federal Capital Territory

The Police Commissioner who assured members of the public of his commitment to rid FCT of criminality in all its manifestation, said the suspects will be charged to court accordingly.

Some of the items said to have been recovered from the kidnap suspects included an AK-47 rifle, 10 mobile phones, cash sum of N345,000 and some other valuables.
