The FCT Police Command has arrested seventy suspects following a viral video alleging a robbery incident around Unity Fountain in the Maitama area of Abuja.
In a statement signed by the police public relations Officer FCT command Josephine Adeh, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Sanusi, ordered an immediate raid of identified criminal black spots around Unity Fountain and its environs.
The statement said Police operatives from Maitama Division conducted coordinated raids, leading to the arrest of seventy suspects.
It added that following preliminary screening, thirty were released, while forty others were detained.
