The Task team of the Command and Control Centre of the FCT Administration has raided and dislodged unapproved parking zones believed to be harbouring one-chance syndicates and beggars in the city.
The secretary, Command and Control Centre, FCTA, Peter Olumuji, told journalists on Wednesday that following receipt of credible intelligence from relevant security and paramilitary agencies, the Team had to dislodge the suspected one-chance syndicates, who most times use unpainted taxies parked in locations that are not earmarked for parking of vehicles in the city.

Olumuji noted that the raid is part of its holistic operations to ensure that residents of Abuja can always move freely.
Deputy Director, Operations, DRTS, Deborah Osho, said the team impounded no fewer than 15 vehicles from different locations within the city centre for various traffic rule violations,
The team, comprised personnel of the Nigerian Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Department of State Security, Immigration Service, Correctional Service, NDLEA, Directorate of Road Traffic Service and Abuja Environmental Protection Board, Social Development Secretariat as well as other relevant agencies in the FCT.
