President Mohammadu Buhari has reiterated his administration’s commitment to creating ease of doing business and socio-economic development, through the provision of road infrastructure, across the country.
The president made the pledge at the commissioning of the dual carriage section three of the Kano- Maiduguri federal road in Katagum Local Government Of Bauchi State, northeast Nigeria.
The over 106km Azare- Potiskum road was commissioned as section 3 of Kano to Maiduguri federal road that was awarded in 2006.
President Mohammadu Buhari who was represented by the Minister of Trade, Investment and Industry, Ambassador Yelwaji Katagum, said the provision of roads infrastructure has remained a priority of his administration, aimed at networking the country, for easy means of doing business, and job creation to the teeming unemployed citizens.

President Buhari called on road users to ensure the appropriate usage of the roads, to enable them reach maximum life span.
Bauchi State governor, represented by his deputy, Baba Tela, appreciated the Federal Government over the timely completion of the project,
Speaking on behalf of the communities, the Emir of Katagum,
Umar Faruk assured the of proper utilisation of the road for societal development.
