The Federal Fire Service has established its Zone-K headquarters in Bayelsa State with a new fire fighting truck.

Governor Douye Diri, at the official commissioning of the fire fighting truck in Yenagoa, the state capital, on Wednesday, appealed for fire stations to be cited at the three senatorial districts for a swift response to emergencies outside the State capital.

The Governor was represented by his Deputy, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.

The Comptroller General of the Federal Fire Service, Liman Ibrahim, represented by the Head Operations, Thompson Olatunji, witnessed the commissioning.

He said the presence of the Federal Fire Service in Bayelsa State is to compliment the efforts of the Bayelsa State Fire Service in fighting
fire outbreaks.
