As the number of positive cases of Covid-19 in Osun state rises, residents are calling on the state government to take stricter measures in containing the spike.
For the past few days, Osun state has been recording two digits in the numbers of people tested positive for Coronavirus.
This development has become worrisome to some residents of the state who are calling on the government to be more proactive in curbing the menace.
Already, the state has declared a total lockdown on Ilesa West, Ilesa East, Atakumosa East, and Atakunmosa West as part of efforts to contain the community transmission of the pandemic.
But some residents want the government to do more in the area of welfare of the people.

As of Wednesday, the number of confirmed cases in the state has risen to 199 with 108 active cases, 84 patients have been successfully treated and discharged while seven deaths have so far been recorded.
