The Federal Government has described untrue reports by an international news agency that the Military is running an illegal abortion programme for Girls and Women in the North East.
Minister Of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed at a Media Conference in Abuja says it stands by the Military as the intentions of the news agency are to demoralize troops and set the Gains recorded in securing the country back using instruments of fake news and Disinformation.

The Minister said the FG Rejects the claims that about 10,000 abortions have been carried out from 2013 to Date on women and girls a figure he says the news agency arrived at after interviewing 33 women and girls.
