In continuation of the ongoing evacuation of Nigerian nationals from South Africa, the Federal Government has deployed an Air Peace aircraft for the fourth evacuation flight.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the aircraft is scheduled to depart the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Tuesday, 7th July 2026 at 3:30pm for Johannesburg, South Africa.
The flight is expected to depart Johannesburg for Lagos at 12:00 midnight with 270 returnees on board. The estimated time of arrival at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos is 5:00am on Wednesday, 8th July 2026, all things being equal.
The Ministry reassures that adequate arrangements have been made to receive the returnees and provide necessary consular and welfare support upon arrival.
This evacuation exercise is part of the Federal Government’s commitment to ensure the safety and well-being of Nigerians abroad amid the current security concerns in South Africa.
