The Nigerian Government is appealing to organised labour to suspend its planned 2-day warning strike over certain policies of government.
At a briefing in Abuja, Labour and Employment Minister, Simon Lalong calls on the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress , NLC to consider the fact that cabinet ministers have just been inaugurated and need time to check the files.

The Minister took time to reel out some efforts of the Federal and state governments to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal
Meanwhile the Nigeria Labour Congress Says it is not backing down on the 2-day warning strike billed for Tursday and Wednesday, even though the federal government has called for a meeting later on Monday.
