In an address during the handover, the NNDC Board Chairman’s Chief of Staff said the gesture is in line with the Federal government’s promise to assist the states as affected by flooding, adding that President Muhammadu Buhari made provisions for seventeen out of the twenty-five Local Government Areas of Delta State where persons, where displaced from their homes and farmland and other property, destroyed.
The State Emergency Management Agency said the worst affected communities and Local Government Areas were identified by the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA through an assessment exercise.
The teams embarked on an inspection of the palliatives before handing them over to the Delta State Emergency Management Authorities.
