Thousands of farmers in Nasarawa State in North-Central Nigeria are set to benefit from a major agricultural intervention with the commencement of the distribution of 20,160 bags of fertiliser by Governor Abdullahi Sule under the Federal Government’s Farm Input Support Programme for the 2026 wet farming season.
Governor Sule said the fertiliser was a gift from President Bola Tinubu through the National Agricultural Development Fund and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security as part of the intervention to help cushion the impact of rising fertiliser costs and increase in food production across the state.

The Governor assured the people of the state that all 20,160 bags would be distributed free to small-scale farmers, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to agricultural development and food security.
Representatives of the National Agricultural Development Fund and the All Farmers Association of Nigeria welcomed the initiative, expressing confidence that it will improve farmers’ productivity and livelihoods across Nasarawa State.
