Youths and women have been encouraged to return to their ancestral homes in Adamawa State and adopt entrepreneurial skills.
This is following the gradual return of peace to Boko Haram ravaged communities, especially in Michika and Madagali Local Government Areas of the State. The return of the displaced persons is believed will also boost the revival of the economies of the insurgency ravaged communities.
So far, 400 youths and women have been trained in various entrepreneurship skills, through the intervention of the Small And Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, SMEDAN.
The people of most communities in Michika and Madagali Local Government Areas have deserted their ancestral homes in search of safety in various internally displaced persons camps in the state capital.
As peace is gradually returning to their areas, the Federal Government has trained youths and women in various entrepreneurship skills in agriculture, catering, and make-up, among others.
