The Nigerian government has expressed dissatisfaction with the facilities at the toll plazas and service stations erected on Keffi-Lafia-Makurdi highway.
The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, said this while inspecting works on the toll plaza at kilometre 32 on the Keffi-Akwanga road.
The Keffi-Lafia-Makurdi highway is over two hundred kilometers and presently, four toll gates are being constructed by a Chinese construction company.
During an inspection of the road and other facilities, the Minister of Works Senator David Umahi expressed his dissatisfaction with some aspects of the project. He charged the company handling the work to improve on the quality of job at the service station along the highway and the roof of the tolling plazas
He also charged the company to immediately provide a stand-alone 20 KVA solar energy system to power the tolling machines and also stand-alone solar lights for the area.
Idah Daikwo, Federal Controller Works, Nasarawa State, gave an assurance to Nigerians that the ministry would monitor to ensure that the company completes the toll plazas and service stations according to specification.
