The Federal government has flagged off the commencement of work on the 260km dual carriage way leading from Makurdi the capital of Benue State in the Northcentral region to Enugu in the Southeast region of Nigeria.
The Minister of Works, David Umahi, who performed the flag off ceremony also disclosed that the construction of a flyover bridge at the Wurukum round-about in Makurdi, the Benue state capital.

The road project, is a continuation of the dualization of the Phase 2 of the Federal road which runs from Makurdi through Otukpo up to 9th Mile in Enugu State.
The Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Alia who at the road construction flag off ceremony took time to appreciate the President Bola Tinubu administration for taking up the dualization of the highway which is a major road network linking the Northern parts of the country with the Southern regions as well as other on going Federal government road projects across the State.
