The Federal Government has launched the “Hire From Nigeria” campaign, an initiative aimed at connecting skilled Nigerian talent with employers and opportunities in the global digital economy.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris says the campaign will create jobs, attract foreign earnings and position Nigeria as a competitive destination for global digital and professional services.
Tagged, “Exceptional Talent, From Nigeria, For the World,” the initiative is designed to make Nigerian talent easier for international employers to discover and hire, allowing skilled Nigerians to work for global companies without necessarily leaving the country.
The initiative is being implemented in partnership with stakeholders across the technology, education and private sectors.

Idris says the changing global economy has made it possible for knowledge, skills and creativity to cross borders.
He adds that the initiative will position Nigeria to take advantage of global digital opportunities, enabling young Nigerians to work and earn internationally while contributing to the economy from home.
The government is supporting the initiative by moving from theoretical learning to practical skills development with plans underway to establish a digital technology academy that will provide months of training in various digital skills, preparing young Nigerians to compete in the global market.
The Initiative is giving a major boost to Nigeria’s efforts at exporting talents as the campaign will open Nigeria to global opportunities.
The initiative will also contribute to youth empowerment, job creation and economic growth, while positioning Nigerian talents to compete on the global stage.
