The Federal Government and some development partners are stepping up efforts to address possible factors responsible for women’s engagement in cross-border trade in West Africa.
The initiative, “Making Trade Work for Women”, seeks to improve women’s access to trade information, finance, digital skills and markets while promoting safer and more efficient border operations.
The project focuses on the Abidjan – Lagos and other trade corridors, where women traders face harassment, complex customs procedures and limited access to finance and trade information.
