The Federal Government says strengthening partnerships with humanitarian and development organisations is key to ensuring that ongoing economic reforms deliver real benefits to vulnerable Nigerians.

Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Bagudu, made the call at the Catholic Relief Services Nigeria Impact Showcase in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

He said while the government’s economic reforms are aimed at repositioning the economy for long-term growth, greater collaboration is needed to ensure low-income households, farmers, traders and small businesses feel the positive impact.

Bagudu noted that global challenges, including rising energy costs, trade tensions and higher agricultural input prices, have increased pressure on Nigerians, making targeted interventions even more important.

The Minister said organisations like Catholic Relief Services play a vital role in identifying communities that may be left out of government programmes and helping to bridge those gaps.

He stressed that government remains committed to working with development partners to strengthen interventions, improve service delivery and ensure that economic reforms translate into better livelihoods for citizens.

The Minister also urged the Federal, State and Local Governments to deepen collaboration with humanitarian organisations to promote inclusive development and improve the wellbeing of all Nigerians.
