The National Broadcasting Commission has set June 17, 2026 for the national launch of the digital switch-over, DSP and December 31, 2028, as the deadline for the final analogue switch-off for Nigeria.
Nigerian Communications Satellite, NIGCOMSAT, is at the heart of the rollout of the DSO with the provision of DVB-T for terrestrial television and DVB-S2 for satellite broadcasting.
