The wife of the president, Oluremi Tinubu has called for more investment in women in order to accelerate progress in all spheres of the nation’s economy.

Tinubu made the call in a statement issued on Friday in commemoration of the 2024 International Women’s Day.

She argued that the theme of the 2024 international women’s day, “invest in women, accelerate progress” resonates with the timely call for women to be more involved in every sphere of human endeavor

Tinubu noted that investing in wonen must not be seen as an act of charity, but as a strategy to build the future of Nigeria

She also called for deliberate policies to Equip women with education, resources and opportunities to unleash their full potential, and ensuring their voices are heard

Tinubu called for cooperation from every stakeholder across the economy, adding that every woman needed help as she created a pathway to progress
