The first ever National Beach Volleyball Tour has kicked-off in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, North-East Nigeria.
AIT.live gathered that the five-day tournament is part of efforts by the National Beach Volleyball Federation to develop the sporting activity in Nigeria.

Nigeria is reportedly a force to reckon with globally in the regular Volleyball games, but not with the beach event hence the deliberate attempt to develop the game.
While this first phase of the tour is accommodating mostly the northern states of Kaduna, Jigawa, Sokoto, Taraba, Borno, Yobe and the host Adamawa, among others, the Second phase is to feature states from the east with the South-East Zone hosting the tour and finally the tour will be in the South-West
Adamawa State Chairman of the Federation, DCP Stephen Hasso (Rtd) said, the event will help the players representing Nigeria in the international championship coming up in Morocco
Technical Director of the Federation, Martin Melandi and the Adamawa State Director of Sports, Esther Dominic said, so far, the tour is progressing so good.
