Two People have been confirmed dead after a downpour which wrecked havoc in some Communities within Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The National and State Emergency Management Agencies while taking an on-the-spot assessment of the impact of the flood described the situation as devastating calling on residents living in waterways to immediately vacate such Places.
It is September, when rainfalls should be winding down in the North, but that appears not to be the case here on the Plateau as heavy rainfall continues to wreak havoc.
The flood which has claimed two lives, affected Anguwan Rogo, Rikkos, Bauchi Road, and Naraguta communities and also washed away many houses and other properties, leaving over a hundred households displaced, as narrated by an eyewitness.

A team of the National and State Emergency Management Agencies, NEMA and SEMA, while taking an on-the-spot assessment of the impact of the flood described the situation as devastating.
The Agencies after their assessment, said all houses affected by the flood were built on waterways.
While assuring the Victims of support from the federal government, they however advised the general public to avoid building on waterways and call on those at-risk areas to immediately vacate such Places to avoid being taken unaware.
