The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, alongside his running mate, Yusuf Datti, were in Bauchi State, in continuation of his commiseration tour of flood ravaged areas.
Obi commended the effort of the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed in supporting victims of the flooding, and called on the Federal Government to send a delegation to assess the level of damage with a view to supporting the victims.

The Labour Party presidential candidate also visited the Emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Suleman, in his palace, prominent Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, and Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohamed to express his commiserations.
Five local governments in Bauchi State were affected by the recent flooding where three people were reported killed with property worth millions of Naira, including farmlands, destroyed.
