The North East Development Commission, NEDC, has donated food and non-food items worth millions of Naira to victims of the flood disaster in Bauchi State.
At Government House Bauchi, Managing Director of the Commission, Dr Mohammed Alkali, said the gesture is part of the Federal Government’s efforts at providing humanitarian support to the victims of flood disasters in states across the Northeast including Bauchi.

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed expressed concern over the rising level of humanitarian cases and disasters affecting parts of the state, and commended the North East Development Commission, for assisting the victims of flood in the state.
The governor promised to ensure justice and fairness in the distribution of the relief items and called on his counterparts in the North East to devise means by which food shortages, as a result of the flood, could be averted.
