The Former Director-General, Small And Medium Enterprises Of Nigeria, SMEDAN, 53-year-old Umar Dikko Radda has been declared the winner in the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship Primaries in Katsina State.
Radda is the youngest among the 9 aspirants who contested for the APC ticket.
The Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Barrister Lawal Kaka, announced that Radda polled 506 out of the 1,801 of the total votes cast to clinch the ticket.
He added that Radda’s closest rival and former Secretary To The State Government, Mustapha Inuwa, scored 442 votes to emerge second, while Abbas Masanawa, got 436 votes to come third in the contest.

In his speech, Radda called on other aspirants to join hands with him to work collectively for the victory of APC in the forthcoming general elections.
He also promised to carry everybody along towards his ‘Building your future’ project for the state.
Radda is now to face Lado of PDP and others in the battle to succeed Governor Aminu Masari in 2023.
