Former Secretary to the Katsina State government and aspirant in the just concluded All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship primaries, Mustapha Inuwa has conceded defeat and congratulated the winner, Dr. Umar Dikko Radda.
Inuwa polled 442 out of the 1,787 valid votes cast to come second behind Radda who scored 506 and ahead of Abbas Masanawa’, who got 436 to come third.
Inuwa who made this known during a press conference added that, his team will support wholeheartedly the winner of the election and promise to work with him.
He added that though the defeat is painful, he fought a good fight.
Inuwa further said that what matters most at the moment is the unity of the party in the state and promised to join forces with Radda to achieve the feat and make the state great.
The winner and Governorship candidate, Dikko Radda arrived the venue of the conference and pledged to be loyal and take advise from the man he called, ‘his elder brother in politics and in life’.

Radda also solicited his tactics, experience, structures and support for the journey ahead.
Inuwa in response, called on Radda to operate open door policy so as to accommodate other persons and welcome ideas to ensure the victory of the party.
The former SSG therefore thanked all his teaming supporters and the 442 Delegates who voted for him saying, the confidence reposed in him will continue to linger and will not let them down when opportunity presents itself in the future.
Also, the Katsina State Deputy Governor Mannir Yakubu who participated in the primaries, has congratulated Radda and pledged to work for the party and his victory in 2023.
Yakubu polled 65 votes to come 6th out of the 9 aspirants in the contest.
