Gunmen on Saturday evening shot four persons to dead at a mining site in Dong Community, a suburb of Jos North local Government Area, Plateau state, North Central Nigeria.
A community leader who opted to remain anonymous told AIT via telephone that the suspected bandits stormed the mining site around 7pm while the Miners where about leaving and began shooting sporadically.

The Source revealed that no fewer than four men were shot dead and a woman who survived gunshots is receiving treatment in the hospital.
Spokes Person for the State Police Command, ASP Gabriel Ubah while confirming the incident to AIT said the command has already deployed officers to the scene of the attack due to tension the incident has created within the Community
As at the time of the filing in this report in the early hours of Sunday, the dead bodies are being transported to the Mortuary while tension is still high in the community.
