The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, says the withdrawal of Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, from the APC governorship race did not come as a surprise to him.
According to the Minister, the governor had already made a commitment not to seek a second term, a position he believes should have been upheld by not purchasing the nomination form in the first place.
Speaking shortly after inspecting ongoing projects in the nation’s capital, including the Abuja City Gate, the Minister also backed the emergence of Kingsley Chinda as the APC governorship candidate.
