Just a few hours after it warned its citizens against travelling to Abuja, the Nigerian capital over alleged security concerns, Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has backpedalled and said the widely circulated statement was unauthorized

Ministry denied knowledge of any threat targeted at Ghanaians living in Nigeria.
The statement added that it regrets any inconvenience the advisory may have caused the travelling public.
Meanwhile, the Ghanaian High Commission in Nigeria in a statement also said relevant Authorities in Ghana didn’t Authorise the publication of the traval Advisory.
The statement added that the publication has been withdrawn by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana.
“The high commission regrets any inconvenience that this may have caused the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”
