The All Progressives Congress in Gombe State has concluded its House of Representatives direct primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The exercise, which recorded a large turnout of party members across various wards, was described as peaceful and orderly.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has commended party faithful for their conduct, while calling for total unity ahead of the main polls.

An appreciable number of party faithful turned out for the APC direct primaries across Gombe State on Saturday

Voters queued up early at various designated centers.

The exercise marks one of the party’s major direct primary elections in the state, drawing strict monitoring from security agencies and electoral officials to ensure transparency.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya participated in the exercise at his Jekada fari Ward in the Gombe metropolis.

Addressing journalists after voting, the Governor praised the orderly manner of the process and urged aspirants to prioritize party loyalty.

Local electoral officials and ward leaders also expressed satisfaction with the logistics and total compliance with guidelines.

Ordinary party members echoed similar sentiments, praising the direct primary system for giving grassroots voters a direct voice in choosing their representatives.

The All-Progressives Congress says it remains committed to maintaining peace and order as preparations continue for the senatorial primaries scheduled for Monday.
