Gombe State Government has announced the death of the 15th Mai Tangle, Dr. Abdu Buba Maisheru ll.
According to Secretary to the State Government, Prof Ibrahim Njodi, the royal father died on Sunday, 10th January, 2021 after a brief illness at the age of 72 years at the Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH), Gombe.
The Government of Gombe State described the sudden death of the paramount ruler as a monumental loss not only to the Tangle Chiefdom and the State but the nation as a whole.

The state government said it would announce the date of the burial in due course.
