Gombe State Government has proposed the sum of N173,000,000,000= (one hundred and seventy-three billion naira) as its budget for the 2023 fiscal year.
Commissioner for Finance. Muhammed Magaji who disclosed the figures at the end of the State Executive Council meeting says that the budget, to be presented to the State House of Assembly, will contain most of the resolutions of the Town Hall meeting submitted by civil society groups, traditional rulers and ordinary residents.

Although details of the budget were not provided, the commissioner of finance said the proposed 2023 budget sum is an increase of eleven percent from the 2022 appropriation estimates.
The State Executive Council also approved a ban on the movement of cattle and also approved the purchase of buses for the state transport company, schools and hospitals in the state
