Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Wednesday, inaugurated the State Executive Council with a threat to sanction any commissioner or public officials who engage in corrupt practices.
While announcing the names and portfolios of his new cabinet members at the swearing-in ceremony for new commissioners and permanent secretaries at the Government Secretariat in Osogbo, Governor Adeleke said he would be doubling as the Commissioner for Works while his deputy, Kola Adewusi, would oversee the Ministry of Sports and Special Needs.
Addressing the twenty-four new commissioners and permanent secretaries after the swearing-in, Gov Adeleke reiterated his commitment to responsive government that listens to and satisfies the wishes of the people.
The governor who advised the commissioners to make their goal, service to the people, stressed the value of honesty and integrity in public service.
Governor Adeleke says he will oversee the works ministry as the commissioner while his deputy runs the sports and special needs ministry.
