The Ondo State Government has imposed a 24 hour curfew on the Ikare-Akoko town with effect from 6.00pm today, May 5, 2021.
The curfew followed the disturbing violence over chieftancy in Ikare-Akoko, Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo state.

In a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo, government said that Security Agencies, have been deployed and mandated to enforce the curfew.
Accordingly, government says that anyone who violates or contravenes the order shall face the full wrath of the Law.
