The Zonal leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, led by the National Vice Chairman, Dan Orbih, has called on the Governors and Leaders from the Zone, to put modalities in place for a security outfit against insecurity in the region.
The Dan Orbih led south south PDP leaders , were in Government house Benin city on a working visit to Governor Godwin Obaseki.
Orbih wants those in authority in the region, to consider a security system that will protect the people.

On his part, Governor Obaseki noted that the security architecture has to also be decentralised.
On the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, they expressed their reservations about the impact the Commission has made in the Niger Delta.
Obaseki also called for the strengthening of the PDP, and its structures to better serve the people.
He says it is time for the party register to be upgraded to an electronic format.
