The Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has approved the deployment of the seven new Commissioners recently sworn into office, assigning each to a substantive Ministry, and a firm charge to hit the ground running and deliver measurable results to the people.
The new Commissioners are deployed as follows;
Elizabeth Onma — Ministry of Special Duties and Related Matters,
Kuma Aii Yenge — Ministry of Works,
Roy Ashirga — Ministry of Housing and Urban Development,
Angwa Egbe Monday — Ministry of Science and Technology (with a mandate to establish the Ministry of Natural Resources),
Amo Ankwa II — Ministry of Commerce and Industry,
Nick Eworo — Ministry of Youths, Sports and Creativity, and
Solomon Iorpev — Ministry of Information and Orientation
A statement by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Solomon Iorpev States that the Governor charged the new Commissioners to bring diligence, transparency and a strong sense of urgency to their respective portfolios, and directed that the assignments take immediate effect.
It further disclosed that the Governor will today, Monday, 24th August, 2026, commence a Thank-You Tour across the eleven (11) Federal Constituencies of Benue State.
The tour which is the second since inception, is designed to convey the Governor’s profound appreciation to APC party faithful, political stakeholders, traditional rulers, Government appointees and other critical stakeholders across the State for their unwavering support and commitment to his administration.
He invited all stakeholders and members of the public to receive the Governor and participate in the historic exercise of appreciation and engagement.
