Gov. Bagudu approves payment of over N3bn to retired civil servants

Governor Bagudu of Kebbi State has approved the payment of over three billion Naira to retired civil servants in the state.

A statement signed by the Acting Head of Service, Safiyanu Bena, indicates that the approval followed the conclusion of the verification of beneficiaries of the 2022 gratuity and death benefits.

Furthermore, the governor approved the payment of gratuity and death benefits to five hundred and eighty-seven state beneficiaries, three hundred and twenty-two local government beneficiaries, and three hundred local government staff.

He also approved the payment of one hundred and eighty verified contract officers from 2019 to September 2022.

The Acting Head of Service reiterated that in line with the determination to pay all gratuity benefits, the incumbent administration has so far cleared all its backlog.
