Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has condoled with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigerian Air Force and the families of the officers and men aboard Air Force aircraft NAF 913, which crashed on Monday morning.
Governor Diri, who paid tribute to the deceased officers and men during this week’s State Executive Council meeting at Government House, Yenagoa, described the incident as a great loss to Bayelsa State and the country, noting that four Bayelsa indigenes were involved in the crash.
According to the Nigerian Air Force Headquarters, the aircraft was on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos when the accident occurred in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State.
The governor expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for strength and comfort for all those affected by the tragedy.
