Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has commended the Federal Government over the relocation of the office of the Alternative Dispute Resolution, ADR, Centre under the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission in Yenagoa, describing it as a ray of hope not only to the people of the state but also to the entire Niger Delta Region.
Governor Diri made the commendation when a delegation of the commission paid him a courtesy visit in Government House, Yenagoa.
The agitation of the Niger Delta people over the relocation of the headquarters of oil companies to their areas of operation has been a burning issue for decades .
Gradually there seems to be a ray of hope as Bayelsa state was not only housing the local content tower but now hosting the head office of the Alternative Dispute Resolution ADR Centre.

Elated Governor Douye Diri says the citing of the office of the ADR in Yenagoa was a sign of good things to come to the people of Bayelsa and the region.
Already, the Governor has made provision for a temporary office at the transparency plaza pending when a permanent site will be constructed.
