Twelve new Permanent Secretaries have been sworn into the Rivers State Civil Service, with Governor Siminalayi Fubara charging them to uphold integrity, promote peace and work diligently to advance the state’s development agenda.
Governor Siminalayi Fubara says the appointment of twelve new Permanent Secretaries is aimed at strengthening the Rivers State Civil Service and enhancing the government’s capacity to deliver on its development programmes.
At the swearing-in ceremony held at Government House, Port Harcourt, the governor charged the new Permanent Secretaries to discharge their responsibilities with fairness, integrity and an unwavering commitment to the progress of the state.
Among those sworn in was Mina Telle-Ikuru, wife of a former Deputy Governor of Rivers State.
Governor Fubara said the appointments come with enormous responsibility, noting that the appointees were carefully selected to help his administration achieve its vision of moving Rivers State to greater heights.
He urged the new Permanent Secretaries to regard their elevation as a call to selfless service rather than an opportunity for personal gain, warning against any action capable of undermining the peace, unity and development of the state.
The governor expressed confidence that the new Permanent Secretaries would justify the trust reposed in them through dedication, professionalism and effective service delivery.
The appointments are expected to further strengthen the leadership of the Rivers State Civil Service as the Fubara administration intensifies efforts to improve governance and implement its development programmes across the state.
