A state Banquet in honour of the PDP G5 governors was held Thursday night at the old government Lodge, GRA Enugu state south east Nigeria.
The governors are in Enugu state at the instance of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuayi to attend Friday’s flag off of the PDP governorship campaign for 2023 general elections.
The night event witnessed PDP personalities, government functionaries and traditional rulers in attendance.
Also in attendance were the PDP G5 governors, Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Governor Samuel Ortom, of Benue state and Governor Oluseyi Makinde of Oyo state as well as the host governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuayi of Enugu State. Only governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state was absent.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuayi in his remarks appreciated the governors for their visit describing it as a show of love to the people and government of Enugu state.
The governors were later conferred with chieftaincy titles by the Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council.
Other highlights of the night event were cultural dance, comedy and music.
