Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has officially registered with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and obtained the membership card of the political party, sealing his defection from the People’s Democratic Party.
Governor Agbu Kefas described his defection to the APC as one that has the interest of the state and its people at heart
The Governor received the APC executives from his ward, in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State to officially register him into the APC, and present him with the membership card of the party.
The registration comes after weeks of his notice to leave the peoples Democratic Party PDP to pitch his tent with the APC.
The initial rally to welcome Governor Kefas to APC in November, was postponed in solidarity with the abduction of school girls in Kebbi State.
Governor Agbu Kefas told journalists that his registration with the APC is the first major step before a new date is fixed for the defection rally.
The Taraba State Governor also reassured that he will continue to work with all, so the State can enjoy the dividends of democracy.
