Enugu State, Governor Peter Mbah has declared that the days when the people of the state would go to bed with their eyes open must come to an end.
Governor Mbah made this assertion during his visit to the troubled Nimbo Community in Uzo Uwani Local Government Area following a recent attack.
He vowed to utilize all available resources, including the law and security forces, to ensure the guarantee of security.
The atmosphere in Nimbo Community, Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, remains tense following a recent attack allegedly carried out by armed herdsmen from neighboring borders.
The attack, which occurred last Sunday, claimed the lives of four people, including a child.
Attacks on Nimbo, a border town in Uzo-Uwani, have become a recurring nightmare, with villagers living in fear.

Governor Peter Mbah, accompanied by heads of security agencies in the state, has come to empathize with the community and instill hope, declaring “enough is enough.”
While acknowledging Enugu State’s reputation for hospitality, he emphasized that this generosity should not be taken for granted.
Assuring the villagers, he announced that the government would take responsibility for all medical bills and alleviate the suffering of victims.
He also promised scholarships for the children orphaned by the attack and employment opportunities for those in need.
